To my delight and amazement, we finally reached our 25th birthday on the 30th October 2006. It is so hard to believe that it is a quarter of a century since I came up with my crazy idea. The years have flown by and what great times we’ve had. My creation has taken me all over the world, got me into the daftest of situations, but ultimately has meant that I’ve met great people and made many friends. We celebrated with a big party on the 30th September, just before my birthday and all the actors, friends and my family came together for a very joyous time. We played games in the afternoon, then at night had a brilliant bash with great food, lots to drink, a fantastic band and we danced till we dropped at about 2.30 in the morning. ![]()
2007 is going to be very exciting. |
![]() Due to the enormous success of our Italian jobs, we are holding five more Murder in the Mountain trips to Triora – the most beautiful mountain top village. We had a wonderful time there last year and are really looking forward to going back. |
My book ‘The Joy of Murder’ has been slightly delayed, only for the very best of reasons. I had planned to self publish, but now a very big publisher has kindly taken me on and the official launch date is Friday 13th April. ![]() That week in April is going to be very busy for me, you may remember that two years ago I jumped out of a plane for charity (I raised money for charities as often as I can) and I thought what can I do to top that – well I’ve just heard that I have a place on the London Marathon, ‘running’ for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I am hoping to raise £5,000. I am very excited but also dreading it. I hate running, but am determined to cross the finishing line, whether it be running, walking or crawling and in four hours or forty, I don’t care. The Marathon is on April 22nd, the week after my book launch - as I say it’s going to be a busy old week! If you’d care to sponsor me, I’d be thrilled. To sponsor me, please go to www.justgiving.com/joyswift. Thanks very much. |

So once again thank you for all your support and I do hope I’ll see you sometime this year, whether it be at a Murder Weekend in England, Italy or Egypt.
